The Golden Beach Scenic Area in Qidong, East China’s Jiangsu province, will be reopened to the public on July 1 after more than eight months of upgrading and reconstruction works.

Located in the north of Huanghai wetland provincial natural reserve, the scenic area has been closed since Nov 1, 2020 due to the maintenance of its dyke facilities.

After the upgrading, the main entrance of the scenic area now sports a new look. A recreation area has also been added to the sightseeing platform to provide tourists with better views of the sea.

In addition, the scenic area now has a zoo and an amusement park suitable for family outings.
