Nanyang holds exhibitions to mark International Museum Day

A special exhibition called "Honor" opened in Nanyang on May 18, 2019 to celebrate the 43rd International Museum Day.

The event, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, was organized by the Nanyang Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau and the city's Federation of Trade Unions.

The exhibition shows 70 honorary certificates and medals as well as more than 800 other objects conferred on people in all walks of life from 1949 to 2018.

Another special exhibition called "60 Years of Dreams" is being held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the museum.

Experts of the Nanyang Ancient Building Research Institute also held a lecture on the topic of "Nanyang Ancient Architecture and Protection and Knowledge of Wuhou Temple Ancient Buildings" for cultural relic lovers. The event attracted many visitors.

A total of 100 exhibitions are to be conducted in Nanyang to enable more people to feel the power of "honor", according to organizers.
