On Jan 25, four "broken roads" including Liangxiang East Road, Guangwu West Road, Fanli West Road, and Huanghe Road in Nanyang were refurbished and reopened to traffic, meaning that once again the capacity of the city's urban roads has been significantly improved.

"Because of the small bridge here in the past, this road was too narrow. The surrounding environment for traffic has improved," said one citizen, Mr Wang, whose home is near the road. After the road was constructed, it completely changed the area.

"The road is connected, and you can save a lot of time when you go to work every day," Ms Zhou, who lives and works on Liangxiang East Road, said happily.

Previously, because Liangxiang East Road was not open to traffic, Ms Zhou had to take a detour to Zhangheng Road or Xinchen Road every day to and from her home and workplace. Now that it is open to traffic, the transit time has been reduced by more than half.
