The Nanyang Science and Technology Bureau announced on Jan 25 that the Henan Provincial Science and Technology Department, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission and five other departments have announced the twelfth batch of 49 energy-saving and emission-reduction technology innovation demonstration enterprises for Nanyang, the highest number in Henan province.

Thirty-one energy-saving and emission-reduction demonstration companies in the city have been reviewed by the Provincial Science and Technology Department, and 10 have been reviewed as excellent, making an excellence rate of 32 percent.

Nanyang attaches great importance to the role of technological innovation in promoting energy conservation and emission reductions. It has implemented major municipal-level technological special projects, issued technological innovation coupons, pursued the transformation of technological achievements, implemented the Zhuge Talent Plan, and given loan discounts for innovative development projects.

At the same time, the "Nanyang City Supporting Science and Technology Innovation Policy List" has been issued, and certain financial subsidies have been given to newly-recognized high-tech enterprises, energy-saving and emission-reducing technological innovation demonstration enterprises, various innovation platforms, and high-end innovative talents .

In 2020, the newly-recognized provincial energy-saving and emission-reduction technology innovation demonstration enterprise awards and subsidies were put in place.

At present, the city has formed a new circular economy model represented by Zhongyuan Chemical and Tanghe Jinhai Biological, which greatly saves energy and protects the environment. Neixiang Muyuan and other enterprises have adopted advanced energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies and equipment to better realize pollution prevention and resource utilization of livestock and poultry breeding, and to improve their market competitiveness.

Many companies have strengthened the research and development of key technologies for energy conservation, emission reduction and consumption reduction through cooperation with universities and scientific research institutes.
