Nanyang's industrial added value revenue higher than provincial average

According to the Nanyang Statistics Bureau, the added value of the city's industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 4.3 percent year-on-year, which was 3.9 percent higher than the average level of the province, and their operating income increased by 0.7 percent year-on-year, which was 4.8 percent higher than the average level of the province last year.

In 2020, there are 1,460 regulated industrial enterprises in the city, with total assets of 332.11 billion yuan ($ 51.33 billion) and an average of 253,000 workers. They are the backbone of the city's economic development.

In terms of the scale of regulated enterprises, there are 32 large-scale industrial enterprises, 123 medium-sized ones, and 1,305 small ones. In terms of industries, regulated industries include 37 industry categories, and account for 76.3 percent of the city's industrial added value. In terms of distribution, the economic value arose from enterprises in Xixia (196), Dengzhou (141), Zhenping (135), Tanghe (129), Xinye (128) and Fangcheng (115) and from over a hundred enterprises in six other counties and cities.

In 2020, the city's industrial production achieved a cumulative value-added increase of 4.3 percent year-on-year, which by Dec had increased by 5.2 percent year-on-year, achieving positive growth for 10 consecutive months.

In addition, the city's industrial profit growth rate has been maintained at a relatively high level. From Jan to Feb, it increased by 94.3 percent year-on-year, ranking first in the province; by Dec, it had increased by 65.6 percent year-on-year, ranking third.
