Henan Baxian Cave Scenic Area is located on the east bank of Danjiang reservoir, Madeng town, Xichuan county, Nanyang city, Henan province. According to legend, eight immortals were named after the national 5A-level scenic spot, an important part of the Danjiang Lake tourist area in Xichuan.

According to the staff of the scenic spot, the Baxian Cave is a typical karst cave, formed in the Cambrian period. It has a history of more than 200 million years. The cave is more than 1,000 meters long, covers an area of more than 7,000 square meters, and has a viewing area of more than 20,000 square meters.

According to experts, there are 13 caves within 500 meters of the Baxian Cave. The Juxian Hall, Penglai Pavilion, Yaolin Wonderland, Crystal Palace, Jinxiu Hall, Dongtianfudi and six other caves are now open to the public.

The scenic spots outside the cave are also very distinctive, among which the natural beauty of the Danjiang plank road and the Small Three Gorges is particularly intoxicating. The Danjiang plank road, more than 100 meters long, is located on the cliff of the Danjiang Taibai Gorge, and hovers over the Danjiang River.

The Danjiang Small Three Gorges are Yunling Gorge, Taibai Gorge and Yankou Gorge from top to bottom. They are the important transportation fortresses of the Danjiang River. They are located in the middle and upper reaches of the Danjiang Reservoir. Their narrowest point is less than 100 meters.
