More than 20 companies from Nanyang organized a delegation to participate in the Fifth Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Conference in Zhengzhou from May 9 to 11.

The booth of the Nanyang Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone was unveiled at the conference. It received more than 2,000 merchants in three days, reached more than 60 cooperation intention agreements, and achieved other fruitful results.

The Nanyang booth showcased the development status, target positioning and key cross-border e-commerce parks of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone. It displayed artificial flowers, edible fungi, moxa products and other characteristic products by attractively arranging the different objects. It also demonstrated the good image and development achievements of the Nanyang Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone.

During the conference, the Nanyang delegation held talks with well-known cross-border e-commerce experts and conducted docking negotiations with Henan E-Port Company and Yiwu Jimao E-commerce Vocational School to clarify the direction of cooperation.

In 2020, the State Council approved setting up of a comprehensive pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce in Nanyang to add an important national strategic platform for the development of cross-border e-commerce in Henan province, and to approve Nanyang as a pilot city for cross-border e-commerce imports.

Last year the city's e-commerce sales reached 233.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.2 percent; its cross-border e-commerce sales reached 8.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3 percent, and its total e-commerce sales ranked third in the province.

In addition, Nanyang plans to further strengthen cooperation with e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba and Dunhuang.com and introduce a group of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive service enterprises. It will also focus on building a group of cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, guide the integrated development of cross-border e-commerce and local characteristic industries, and form a cross-border e-commerce industry cluster with Nanyang characteristics.
