More than 1.35 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in Nanyang as of May 19, the Nanyang City Center for Disease Control and Prevention said on Tuesday.

Starting from this month, Nanyang began to carry out large-scale COVID-19 vaccines throughout the city. The first doses for 40 percent of the permanent population must be completed within one month. It is estimated that 3.83 million doses are required in the city.

Before June 9, people aged 18 to 59 in the city need to have had the first dose of the vaccine.

At present, there are 276 vaccination sites, including more than 60 temporary ones, in the city. According to requirements, residents can make vaccination appointments through their community or work or study unit.

At the same time, relevant information of vaccine circulation and application has been fully incorporated into the management of the immunization planning information system so that the source of the vaccine can be traced.
