Nanyang promotes high-quality economic and social development at the county level with high standards. All seven of its impoverished counties and 902,000 impoverished people have been lifted out of poverty, and 1,112 villages have all been withdrawn from the list of impoverishment.

Dengzhou includes the first demonstration counties (cities) in the province. Xixia county was awarded the title of National Civilized City, Fangcheng county and Tanghe county were awarded the title of National Civilized City Nominated County, and seven others were successfully established as national health counties. Six have been successfully established as national garden towns, five have been successfully re-designated as provincial-level civilized cities, and three national-level rural road demonstration counties have been established.

In recent years, the jade carving industry of Zhenping county has formed a complete industrial system from raw material procurement to production and processing, from talent training to brand creation, and from marketing to packaging and logistics.

At the same time, Zhenping also created direct supply from branded industrial areas, cultivated professional e-commerce operation teams and learned the super-powered IP operation model composed of "e-commerce + celebrities + Internet celebrities + live broadcast".

The county has an annual output value of 20 billion yuan, annual sales of 30 billion yuan, and an average annual added value of three billion yuan.

Relying on rich agricultural resources such as cattle, vegetables, peanuts, and high-quality wheat, Xinye county developed intensive processing of agricultural products and accelerated integration of its rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

Dengzhou actively attracted industrial and commercial capital, science and technology, talents and other factors into agricultural and rural areas, and built important auto parts supporting production bases, special-purpose vehicles and new energy vehicle production bases by expanding traditional leading industrial clusters and cultivating emerging manufacturing industrial clusters.

Nanzhao county adopted the poverty mode of "leading enterprises (cooperatives) + bases + finance + branches + poor households", and built 125 seedlings and flowers, edible fungi, Chinese medicinal materials, tussah and other characteristic planting and breeding bases, and three agricultural industrialization clusters.

The county also developed 1,905 new agricultural business entities, with a land transfer area of 190,000 mu, while more than 13,000 of its poor households achieved an average annual increase of 5,000 yuan.

Xichuan county developed the forest and fruit industry to interplant cash crops and Chinese medicinal materials, focused on the construction of three major industrial parks for medical and health, new building materials, and auto parts, and implemented a medical and health cultural industry with an investment of 2.8 billion yuan.

The forest and fruit industry has developed nearly 400,000 mu, suitable for Xichuan’s ecological industries such as soft-seed pomegranates, thin-shelled walnuts and golden pears.

Wolong district promoted the construction of a road network, water network and forest network, and accelerated the integration of urban and rural transportation, urban and rural sanitation, urban and rural education and health care, adding strength to the development of Nanyang.
