Nanyang was called "Wan" in ancient times. It is located in the southwest of Henan province at the junction of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces. It has a total area of 26,600 square kilometers and a total population of 12,018,800. It is the largest and most populous city in the province.

In order to accurately and clearly create Nanyang's city image, and to promote Nanyang in a better way, the government is now publicly soliciting city image slogans from all over the world.

5. Requirements

(1) Nanyang city image slogans must highlight the regional characteristics of Nanyang, and showcase Nanyang’s beautiful scenery, outstanding people, rich history, and unique culture through natural and human landscapes, historical culture, customs, iconic characters or events to create image characteristics with strong appeal and spreading power.

(2) The form and style of the work are not limited, the sentences must be beautiful, fluent, catchy, concise and easy to remember, and the number of words is not limited.

(3) The work must have a healthy and progressive style and be easy to spread and promote.

(4) The work must be original and unpublished.

(5) Individual (including organization) submissions shall number more than two, and the slogan may be accompanied by a brief explanation if necessary.

6. Methods

(1) By mail, the submission time is subject to the local postmark time (only EMS postal delivery is accepted). The front of the envelope should be marked with the words "Nanyang City Image Slogan Collection".

7. Selection instructions

(1) Creators can only choose any one of the above methods to submit contributions, and the same work cannot be submitted repeatedly. If different creators submit the same content, the earlier local postmark (time of email or website reception) shall prevail.

(2) Based on the principles of openness, fairness, and justice, the event organizer will ask experts to establish a review committee to select the finalists, from which the Nanyang city image slogan will be selected.

(3) The selection results will be announced on official media platforms such as "Nanyang Net", "Nanyang Release" and local news media.

8. Rewards

In order to promote the development of this slogan solicitation activity and encourage participation, the awards and rewards of this activity are as follows:

1 first prize, for RMB 20,000

3 second prizes, each for RMB 5,000

5 third prizes, each for RMB 2,000

15 outstanding awards, each for RMB 500　　

The above-mentioned rewards are all pre-tax bonuses, and the individual income tax must be declared and paid by the person.

9. Notice

(1) This solicitation is open to a wide range of global solicitations, and no submitted works will be returned. Please indicate the author’s name, ID number, gender, unit, occupation, address, postal code, and telephone number in the materials.

(2) The organizer owns the intellectual property rights (including copyright, authorship, trademark rights) to the collected works, has the right to modify and publish the works, as well as the right to use them in related activities (including exhibitions, publications, and publicity). In case of product, media, network promotion, etc., no additional remuneration will be paid.

(3) All submitted works must not infringe the intellectual property rights of others. Once any infringement is discovered, the submitter will be disqualified, and all bonuses and certificates that have been issued shall be recovered. The legal and civil liabilities for disputes arising shall be borne by the author.

(4) Once the author submits the work, the author shall be deemed to have agreed with the terms of this solicitation activity.

(5) The organizer shall not bear any responsibility for the loss of the submitted works due to non-sponsor reasons such as postal delay, loss, or sending errors.
