More residents in Nanyang receive COVID-19 vaccines

According to the Nanyang Municipal Health Commission, Nanyang's vaccination program has exceeded 10 million doses, with a total of 5.42 million people having been vaccinated. Starting from May 1, Nanyang, on the basis of completing its previous key population vaccinations, expanded the scope of the vaccination population, and vaccinated people over 18 years old. By June 7, the city completed the first dose of the vaccination 2 days ahead of schedule, then, by June 9, all counties and districts in Nanyang had over-fulfilled according to the time node, vaccinating 4.13 million people, with an inoculation rate of the first injection of 106.37 percent. The second dose was transferred on June 10, and by June 30, the city had a total of 8.09 million doses of the vaccination, of which 4.13 million people were inoculated with the first dose and 3.97 million with the second dose.

From Aug 1, Nanyang started the COVID-19 vaccination for minors aged between 12 and 17.
