Ningbo expo debuts integrated shows
Ningbo, Zhejiang province, will host a combined expo, the Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, from Oct 25 to 27. This expo brings together three major events: the 9th Zhejiang Book Fair, the 2024 Ningbo Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, and the 2024 Ningbo International Tourism Expo, all under one roof.
The expo aims to integrate a diverse array of cultural and tourism elements, presenting a comprehensive view of Ningbo's rich heritage and modern vibrancy. Over 30,000 square meters of exhibition space will be utilized, featuring more than 730 exhibitors. The event will be open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm daily, closing at 4:30 pm on the final day.
Throughout the three days, visitors can explore various themed halls, each offering unique experiences and insights into Ningbo's cultural and tourism landscape. Highlights include halls dedicated to classic inheritance, reading and cultural integration, digital tourism, the Maritime Silk Road, coastal cities, and tourism collaboration.
Renowned writers, artists, and cultural figures will be present to share their creative experiences and insights, providing a platform for intellectual and cultural exchange. Additionally, a range of artistic and folk performances will entertain visitors, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the expo.
This combined expo is Ningbo's first attempt at integrating three significant exhibitions into one cohesive event. Exploring a new path of market-oriented exhibition, the expo focuses on a broader audience, aiming to attract both local and international visitors. It represents a significant step forward in the city's efforts to promote cultural and tourism integration and is expected to have a lasting impact on the city's cultural landscape.
