The Ningbo International Tourism Expo concluded with fanfare at the Ningbo International Conference and Exhibition Center on Oct 27 after a three-day display of a wide array of cultural and travel offerings.

This year's event was particularly special as it ran concurrently with the 9th Zhejiang Book Fair and the 2024 Maritime Silk Road Culture and Tourism Expo, a first for Ningbo.

Preliminary figures released by the organizing committee revealed that the combined exhibitions attracted over 120,000 visitors throughout the three-day extravaganza. Spanning six exhibition halls and encompassing more than 30,000 square meters, the event featured the participation of over 730 companies, marking a milestone in scale and scope. Additionally, a total of 75 events were hosted within the exhibition halls, complemented by over 1,100 events held outside the main exhibition space.

Reflecting on the success of the expo, a representative from the Ningbo International Travel Agency expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming response from attendees. Each day witnessed long queues of visitors eager to explore the offerings, resulting in a daily sales figure surpassing 300,000 yuan ($42,082.8). Despite the usual tourism lull in the latter part of the year, the enthusiasm for travel among Ningbo residents remained palpable, keeping the agency staff engaged in continuous interactions with visitors. "Our voices may be strained from the constant engagement, but our enthusiasm and dedication remain unwavering," the staff member remarked.
