The 33rd East China Fair (ECF) is slated to take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong from March 1 to 4.
This event is widely regarded as the largest regional international economic and trade fair in China, supported by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by provinces like Zhejiang and Jiangsu, as well as cities like Shanghai, Nanjing, and Ningbo.
This year, the Ningbo delegation will have a strong presence with 232 companies at 352 booths. For many Ningbo foreign trade enterprises, the fair is a pivotal platform to test the market's waters for textiles, clothing, and light industrial products.
Hu Chengwen, sales manager at Ningbo Times Aluminum Foil Technology Co Ltd, expressed his excitement, hoping to use the fair to expand into non-European and American markets.
Ningbo delegation's booths include custom and standard types, with daily consumer goods, kitchenware, and fashion apparel among the key exhibits.
Despite challenges in the foreign trade environment, the Ningbo exhibitors remain optimistic. The Ningbo municipal bureau of commerce believes that this homegrown fair presents substantial opportunities. Even before the fair's official opening, communication within the Ningbo delegation highlights the ECF's role as a significant exchange platform.
This year's ECF will feature over 5,000 booths across 10 exhibition halls, covering 115,000 square meters. The fair will also include four professional export exhibition areas: apparel and accessories, textiles, household goods, and decorative gifts.
