With 3.5 hectares of wine grapes and 184 vineyards, the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia is one of the world's most renowned wine producing areas. The Bettane & Desseauve Wine Guide 2015-2016 included 31 Chinese wines, among which 20 were from Ningxia.
In recent years, the Ningxia wine industry has pursued international development, benchmarking the international market and increasing exchanges and cooperation with the international wine industry.
