Monrada, who is the First Secretary of the Royal Thai Embassy in China, has been living in China for two years. This week, she came to Ningxia for the first time to participate in the International Forum on Culture and Tourism Development of Silk Road Cities 2022. And in the home of the stars, Monrada enjoyed the vast and endless desert scenery. What surprised her more was finding a star hotel in the middle of the desert.
Throughout the places that she has visited and her observation of the tourism policy of China, Monrada commends China for presenting the diverse aspects of different styles of tourism. China does not only have the food tours, cultural tours, heritage tours, but also natural tours as well as technology tours.
“In the way of combination of innovations and culture, China is doing really well,” Monrada says. The trip to the desert has made her more convinced of this point.
Meanwhile, she also hopes that through cultural exchange, more people will come to Ningxia as guests and experience the desert stargazing trip.
