The first comprehensive smart charging demonstration center in Northwest China commenced operations and opened to the public in Yinchuan, Ningxia, on July 17.

The center is the largest urban fast-charging station in the region, comprising eight key components - a wind power system, photovoltaic system, energy router DC distribution system, energy storage system, charging and discharging system, multi-platform interaction system, auxiliary service system, and smart charging service station.

Equipped with 30 charging piles, including ChaoJi charging systems, V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) charging and discharging terminals, mobile shared charging piles, and mobile energy storage charging machines, the center can accommodate up to 49 new energy vehicles at once.

It is expected to have an annual charging capacity of 5 million kWh, reducing carbon emissions by over 4,000 tons each year, according to authorities.

The station also features an energy management and vehicle-pile network interaction system to optimize and collaboratively control internal energy resources, enabling the station's resources to participate in vehicle-to-grid interactions and virtual power plant applications and promoting shared and interactive business models.

To cater to the diverse travel needs of users and provide a better charging experience for taxi drivers, the station also includes a charging service station and two self-service car wash machines, as well as amenities such as a water dispenser, microwave oven, restrooms, and self-service terminals.
