In a community of Xixia district, Yinchuan, Ningxia, a Han resident Wang Juru has been fostering ethnic unity and warmth since 2015.
Over the years, she has formed a close-knit "family" with nine university students from various ethnic backgrounds, including Uygur inhabiting Xinjiang, Tujia, and Zhuang.
Wang invites these students into her home for meals, takes them on outings, offers support to help them overcome life's challenges, and leads them to participate in community volunteer activities. Her efforts ensure that these students, far from their own families, feel the warmth and comfort of a home.
The community, home to residents from multiple ethnic groups, has hosted a series of activities to strengthen the bonds among different ethnicities.
