The third session of the 12th Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened in Yinchuan on Jan 18. Over 400 members from across the region convened to discuss development strategies and propose practical solutions, aiming to contribute to the region's Chinese-style modernization.
Chen Yong, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Ningxia Autonomous Regional Committee, delivered the annual work report.
He highlighted the committee's efforts in providing policy consultations and advocacy on major regional initiatives such as developing into a pilot zone and demonstration area, conducting democratic oversight on key tasks, and facilitating regional cooperation by bridging partnerships.
Meanwhile, the committee enhanced its focus on livelihood issues, emphasizing inclusive and essential public services. Through in-depth research, it identified problems and implemented mechanisms to address specific concerns effectively, achieving tangible improvements in public welfare.
Additionally, efforts to enhance the committee's operational efficiency and institutional frameworks have led to significant progress. These include strengthening the foundational role of specialized committees, utilizing the unique contributions of various sectors, enhancing the effectiveness of regular activities, and bolstering coordination across the regional CPPCC system to create greater synergy.
