Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, kicked off its "Intangible Cultural Heritage Welcomes Spring Festival" series on Jan 20, igniting the festive spirit of 2025.

At the event, the Yinchuan bureau of culture, tourism, and broadcasting awarded plaques to 62 newly recognized municipal-level intangible cultural heritage items and five exemplary items.

The exhibition debuted the Crafting Yinchuan video series, which drew widespread attention, alongside dazzling displays of intangible cultural heritage-inspired creative products.

The Lucky Snake Market & Fortune Carnival offered traditional delicacies and interactive activities like red envelope walls and lantern riddles, enhancing the festive shopping experience.

The series will run from January through February, tying into key occasions like Little New Year, Chinese New Year's Eve, and Lantern Festival.

With over 100 activities celebrating local customs, it promotes intangible cultural heritage, enriches public enjoyment, and boosts tourism while fostering the preservation of China's intangible cultural treasures.
