Shuofang Road sub-district in Xixia district, Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, has explored ways to resolve various conflicts and disputes in a timely manner, maintaining stability and harmony.
The sub-district's comprehensive governance center has opened six windows to help residents resolve disputes, integrating the forces of nine government departments, including judiciary, public security and labor supervision.

Since the start of this year, the center has received 17 people who have expressed their demands.
The sub-district has also formed a 1,302-member volunteer police team consisting of merchants, shop owners, enthusiastic residents and others within the jurisdiction. They report potential security risks, neighborhood disputes, and other emerging issues across the sub-district through a dedicated mini program.
"Once the mini program receives a warning, we will immediately assign nearby police officers to verify and handle," said Li Hua, a local official.

Efforts have also been made to assist elderly people. A 27-member volunteer service team operates in the sub-district, assisting elderly people living alone. A daily safety signal mechanism and a 3-minute smart rescue model have also been adopted to safeguard the local senior citizens.
