The 2026 Tech Little Classroom Ningxia Innovation Challenge Camp and the 2026 Rural Science and Technology Education Seminar were held at Ningxia University in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, from July 11 to 12.
The Tech Little Classroom program was launched by Chinese tech powerhouse Huawei in 2021. It is committed to transforming key technologies and knowledge into technology courses suitable for primary and secondary school students through cooperation with local education departments, universities, and other partners.
The two events were hosted by Ningxia University and Huawei, bringing together representatives of schools, teachers, students, and education system experts from Ningxia, Gansu, Hebei, and other provinces and regions.
The innovation challenge camp held on July 11 attracted nearly 200 teachers and students from 26 rural schools in Ningxia, as well as four outstanding award-winning teams from innovation challenge camps in Gansu, Hebei, Yunnan, and Ningxia to compete together.

Students applied their comprehensive knowledge of mechanics, structural design, and engineering practice to complete work design, structural construction, debugging and optimization.
The Kangle Yanbao Primary School team from Shapotou district, Zhongwei, Ningxia, ended up winning the first prize, while multiple schools won second and third prizes as well as the Best Creative Award.
"I have been able to test my own ability and feel the spirit of teamwork during this event," said Duan Xiaohang, a sixth-grade student from Tonggui Middle School in Xingqing district, Yinchuan.
A Rural Science and Technology Education Seminar was held at Ningxia University on July 12th, presenting the development process and achievements of the Tech Little Classroom program over the past five years.
Professor Li Feng from East China Normal University, Wang Chang, head of the Intelligent Agent Studio at Beijing Guangqumen Middle School, Xie Wei, the principal of Yinchuan No 15 Middle School, and Professor Zhang Ling from Ningxia University gave presentations on a range of topics. These included how to systematically design artificial intelligence education and how the central and western regions in China can explore development paths that suit their own needs and advantages.
