A group of Ordos city leaders visited the meeting venue and working section of the upcoming UN Convention Conference of the Parties on combating desertification on July 7, accompanied by project team leaders who are responsible for publicity work. They checked the assembly and media rooms for live-streaming, gaining a detailed understanding of the progress of media publicity work and the operational situation of the conference's website. 

Su Cuifang, the media officer of the conference preparatory committee, said that better coordination between project teams is needed to guarantee that the entire publicity process proceeds smoothly without omission. Su pointed out that both the Chinese and English versions of the conference's websites are main avenues for publicity and their contents should be enriched continuously. She added that on these platforms, the media should report on the conference and at the same time tell the stories of China, Inner Mongolia and Ordos to the world, enhancing Ordos' international image.

The Conference of the Parties, established by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, will hold its thirteenth session in Ordos in September.
