Ordos had five of its counties listed in China’s top 100 list for industrial economy power, according to an announcement at the 2018 Forum on Industrial Economy Development of Chinese Counties, held by China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), in Beijing, Nov 21.

Inner Mongolia autonomous region had five counties honored at the forum, and all five were located in Ordos. The five counties are Juungar Banner, 14th place; Ejin Horoo Banner, the 37th place; Uxin Banner, the 51th; Otog Banner, the 69th, and Dalad Banner, the 78th.

In another list released at the forum to honor China’s top 100 districts for their industrial economy power, Ordos, again, was honored when its Dongsheng district was placed 62nd.

The other two districts in Inner Mongolia that were honored are located in Baotou city.

Jiangyin in Wuxi city, East China’s Jiangsu province, is a long-standing champion among the top 100 counties for industrial economy, while the first place goes to Longgang district in South China’s Shenzhen.

This is the fourth time that CAICT has published the list of China’s top 100 counties for industrial economy, and the second time that it has released the list of top districts.

CAICT, as a research institute directly under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Information, is renowned for its authoritative information.
