Hundreds of swans caused excitement when they were recently seen gathering round Yellow River Bay – located in Dalad Banner, in Ordos,  Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The swans currently making camp at the habitat are expected to be only the first of a much larger group, according to locals. 

In order not to disturb the swans living there, photographers chose not to move closer to the species and instead took pictures of them using long-focus cameras. 

One photographer said that increasing numbers of swans had begun to make camp at Dalad Banner thanks to improvements to the local environment.
