Ordos partners up with neighboring cities to develop tourism

The city of Ordos signed a cooperation agreement with Hohhot, Baotou, Wuhai and Ulaanqab cities in Inner Mongolia autonomous region to boost tourism industry in Kangbashi district on June 30.

Ordos Culture and Tourism Group signed several agreements with organizations and companies in aforementioned cities to promote the integrated development of culture and tourism. 

Under the agreement, the six cities will cooperate in such fields as designing travel routes, holding events and establishing an association on promoting tourism, with the aim of turning the five cities as a whole into an attractive tourist destination.

The urban agglomeration of Hohhot, Ordos and Baotou is billed as golden triangle in Inner Mongolia. The three cities are seeing increasing closer ties forged between them in trade and cultural exchanges.

Since 2016, the government in Inner Mongolia has released a series of documents to bolster the coordinated development of the three cities.
