The spotlight will fall squarely in the next few days on the city of Ordos, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, when the 2nd Ordos agricultural products is staged, according to a press conference which was held on Oct 16.

Ordos officials told the press conference that the opening ceremony for the fair will be held at the Venue B at the Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center and the main venue of the fair will be the center's Venue C.

The fair, on Oct 25-27, will cover an area of 2,400 square meters.

Local officials added that they hope to build the fair as a platform to show and exchange experiences in rural and pastoral construction and development.

And they said they want the fair to show and promote the products of Ordos' agricultural and animal husbandry companies, as well as to enable people learn about and buy more of Ordos's high-quality agricultural products.

The fair also offers opportunities for local farmers and herdsmen to learn more about the market, adapt to it and to look into and swap advanced agricultural and animal husbandry production technologies.
