Agricultural products fair hits Ordos

The second Ordos Agricultural Products Fair opened at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Ordos, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 25, according to local media reports.

According to statistics released by the local authorities, as of the evening of Oct 26, the total amount of on-site transactions reached 802,800 yuan ($113,635.4).

At the same time, 52 projects had been signed up to Oct 27, worth a total amount of 573 million yuan. To attract more locals and investors to visit and purchase commodities, the end of the fair, which was scheduled for Oct 27, was postponed to Oct 28.

The 231 enterprises participating in the exhibition are all local enterprises of Ordos, and the commodities displayed and sold by each enterprise are all products produced locally.

There are more than 300 varieties of commodities including food, daily necessities, drugs, health products, drinks and others.

In addition, six 36-square-meter exclusive stands were set up at the fair for six leading agricultural and animal husbandry enterprises with large scale, strong industrial promotion and good product quality -- to showcase their corporate cultures and main products.
