Ordos launches trading center for local specialty products

A launch ceremony for local specialties' trading center was held in Kangbashi district in Ordos, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 28.

According to local media reports, the center will feature over 300 local specialty products, such as agricultural and associated products, cultural tourism products, cashmere textile products, crafts and culturally creative products, from 50 of the city's businesses.

The center aims to provide a platform for local businesses and high-quality products in Ordos to showcase themselves and the specialties of Ordos, and for enterprises to communicate with each other in terms of external publicity and cooperation.

Officials said that at the same time, the center will provide citizens and tourists with one-stop consulting and purchasing services for tourism products and commodities.

It will help raise the profile of the city and help the high-quality development of Ordos' economy, they added.
