Flocks of migrating swans are resting at Honghaizi wetland in Ejin Horoo Banner in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to local media reports.

Local police officers will increase the frequency and intensity of daily patrols of the wetland to ensure that these migrating swans can regain their physical strength and eventually continue their trek south to their ideal winter destination.

According to a staff member at Honghaizi wetland, with increasing efforts in recent years to protect the area's ecology, the water quality of Honghaizi wetland has been improved, and the water grasses on the embankment are lush, attracting more birds to visit the area over winter.

At the same time, due to the large water area of the wetland and the abundance of small fish, shrimp and mollusks, there are many wild ducks and cormorants on the lake throughout the year.
