Aizam children's chorus from Otog Front Banner in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was invited by China Central Television (CCTV) to perform on a TV program in Beijing from Nov 22 to 24.
According to local media reports, it was the fourth time that Aizam chorus had performed on CCTV.
This time, the program was recorded for the 70th birthday of the People's Republic of China. The chorus prepared three songs with distinctive ethnic features and beautiful tunes, all of which were selected from the chorus's first album, AIZAM.
Aizam children's chorus is composed of 45 7-12-year-old Mongolian children living in Otog Front Banner. It has successfully participated in the opening ceremony of the 13th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the 15th Inner Mongolia Grassland Culture Festival and the first Otog Front Banner Rural Tourism Festival.
