Otog Front Banner promotes mutton at CAF

A delegation from Otog Front Banner – a banner in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region administered by Ordos city – promoted its mutton at the Fourth China Agriculture Forum, or CAF, held in the town of  Boao in southern Hainan province on Dec 23-24.

Otog officials said the aim was to promote the regional Otog Front Banner Mutton brand and effectively raise its profile and influence.

At the opening ceremony of the forum, Otog Front Banner representative Bayasihuliang gave a presentation, recommending his banner's mutton to agricultural enterprises participating in the CAF.

On behalf of the banner's government, Bayasihuliang signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Wngku Information Technology Co Ltd.

This will bring the latest and fastest market supply and marketing information to local farmers and herdsmen, Otog officials said.

With the help of the company, the agreement will promote the effective production, supply and marketing of mutton and minimize the breeding risks of farmers and herdsmen.

In the forum's exhibition area, the Otog staff distributed graphic materials, sold local products, provided consultations and held talks – displaying and promoting Otog Front Banner Mutton.

Their activities attracted more than 500 people, including agricultural professionals, citizens and tourists, officials said.

They said that at the forum, Otog Front Banner Mutton was rated as a designated product at the CAF in 2019.

According to local officials, using the exhibition as an opportunity, Otog Front Banner successfully promoted Otog Front Banner Mutton to domestic and foreign guests and displayed the mutton.

They said this promoted the high-end consumption and high-efficiency operations of Otog Front Banner Mutton and it also further improved the popularity and influence of the brand and product in China and even internationally.
