Jimusi, a teacher in Hanggin Banner in Ordos city, does hand embroidery in the banner’s handicraft creation center in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The center was established on May 25 this year, in a bid to train more than 20 women from poverty-stricken households skills in patchwork craft production, wool embroidery and sewing. Jimusi and her classmate Meng Lianhua are volunteering to guide the women, helping them obtain more income from making these handmade products. [Photo/people.cn]
