The foundation plaque for the new National Physician Qualification Examination and Practice Skills Test Center -- affiliated to the Ordos Mongolian Medicine Hospital -- was unveiled on July 10 in the city of Ordos in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to local officials.

They said the launch ceremony signified that Ordos Mongolian Medicine Hospital had become the first prefecture-city hospital in the western part of the autonomous region to be able to administer the national traditional Chinese medicine practical skills test.

Officials said that the new center would contribute to promoting the skills examination in the autonomous region -- and provide a positive examination environment leading to more practitioners in the medical sector.

Ordos Mongolian Medicine Hospital applied to be a test center in February, 2019. Four months later, the hospital passed the initial assessment, successfully passing the final review in July.
