Quality agricultural and associated products from Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region attracted keen interest when they were showcased at the recent 15th East Asia International Food Trade Fair, according to local officials.

The fair was held on Aug 21-24 in Yantai city in East China’s coastal province of Shandong.

Six companies from Ordos city attended the event, with local specialties such as sea buckthorn drink and Mongolian-style milk tea getting the attention of visitors.

During the expo, the trade promotion council of Ordos city joined forces with the industry and information bureau of the city’s Ejin Horoo Banner to hold a promotional meeting on achieving the transfer of the processing trade sector there.

The meeting discussed the resources advantages, favorable business climate and development prospects in Ejin Horoo Banner, attracting the participation of around 80 companies.
