The municipal government of Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed an important strategic agreement with Huaihe Energy Group in East China’s Anhui province on Aug 20, to cooperate on the clean and efficient use of coal and the development of renewable energy.

Tsetsenbileg, the mayor of Ordos, gave a briefing on the economic and social conditions of Ordos city at the signing ceremony.

He pointed out that Ordos is currently developing a modern energy economy, advancing its industrial transformation, and upgrading and accelerating the exploration of new high-quality development paths that are oriented towards environmental priorities and green development.

The city is carrying out the in-depth implementation of key projects such as green coal mining, coal chemical industrial chain extension and replenishment, and the expansion of new energy and renewable energy sources.

He also pointed out that Huaihe Energy Group has a good foundation for cooperation with Ordos, and the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation. It is hoped that both parties will strengthen their cooperation and jointly contribute to the protection of national energy security. 

The Ordos municipal government will further optimize its development environment and support the development of Huaihe Energy Group in Ordos city.

Huaihe Energy Group, as a powerful provincial-owned enterprise in Anhui province, is now primarily engaged in railway transportation, power generation, coal trading and power sales.
