New computer manufacturing hub to settle in Ordos

The Ordos municipal government signed a cooperation agreement on Nov 3 with China Greatwall Technology Group Co – in Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region – to establish a major high-tech manufacturing hub there.
The two sides will cooperate to establish a local independent computer manufacturing base in Ordos, covering businesses such as manufacturing and R&D of computer parts and completed computers -- as well as R&D, adaptation and operation of software and hardware products.

The company will also establish a large-scale, eco-friendly optical storage and security data center in Ordos and focus on the city's digital development.
China Greatwall Technology Group Co is a leading enterprise in the technological innovation of the computer and internet industry.
It has a complete supply chain spanning, R&D, chips, operating systems and computer manufacturing. A spokesman said it has mastered core technologies such as high-end general-purpose chips and firmware.
