A large drone carrying mutton produced in Otog Front Banner in Ordos city, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, successfully arrived in Yinchuan city in Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Dec 8 after a flight of around one hour.
The drone shortened the transport time from two and a half hours on the road to just one hour.
The transport operation was a drill jointly conducted by Otog Front Banner and SF Express. The goal was to learn how quickly fresh local meat could be transported to the Northwest China region via air travel.

The drone that participated in this drill is an FH-98, which can carry up to 1.5 metric tons of cargo each flight.
The autonomous aerial vehicle has the advantages of short take-off and landing distance and fast cruising speed. It can meet the transportation needs of many high-value agricultural and sideline products, including Inner Mongolia beef, mutton and dairy products, and significantly improve logistics efficiency.
