Ordos issues subsidies of 3.71 billion yuan in 2020

In 2020, the financial subsidies in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region were issued at 3.71 billion yuan ($556.64 million), providing 2.63 million assistance opportunities for business people and residents.
The central government and the autonomous region's government issued subsidies of 2.29 billion yuan. In comparison, the Ordos municipal government and the governments of local banners and districts issued subsidies of 1.42 billion yuan.
The funds were issued in the form of 110 subsidy items in 86 categories. They covered seven areas: agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, commercial circulation, education, healthcare, family planning, construction, social security and wages.
Among them, agricultural subsidies were issued at 700.89 million yuan, animal husbandry subsidies at 536.27 million yuan, forestry subsidies at 537.12 million yuan, social security subsidies at 549.80 million yuan, construction subsidies at 949.07 million yuan and wage subsidies at 390.67 million yuan. The subsidies for business circulation, education, family planning and healthcare totaled 48.83 million yuan.
Of the subsidy recipients, people from Ejin Horoo Banner ranked first with the highest sum of subsidies at 1.20 billion yuan. Those from Dalad Banner and Juungar Banner ranked second and third with subsidies of 569.50 million yuan and 447.99 million yuan, respectively.
Subsidies at 3.64 billion were issued to farmers and herdsmen, and subsidies at 72.26 million yuan were given to urban residents.
