The Inner Mongolia Ethnic Culture Industry Research Institute was established on Jan 8 in Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

A nameplate unveiling ceremony for the institute was held in the Ordos Minority Ethnic Culture Exchange Center on the same day.

It is a comprehensive scientific research institution approved by the Publicity Department of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Party Committee. It is the only independent legal entity in China that engages in research on ethnic culture industries.

With cultural heritage and technological cognition as the key scientific research directions, the institute is committed to building itself into an academic highland, an authoritative think tank and a collaborative innovation platform with strong influence in China.

The institute's establishment will play an essential role in the consolidation of national unity and progress, the development of ethnic, cultural creative industries and the training and education of ethnic culture cadres.
