Ordos releases strict new COVID-19 prevention and control measures

Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region has tightened COVID-19 prevention and control measures amid an increasing outbreak of the epidemic in some areas.
All inbound people arriving in Ordos city from domestic high-risk epidemic areas must report to their destination communities, working units or hotels one day in advance. The same applies to travelers who pass through high-risk areas.
All people arriving in the city from overseas will be expected to undergo isolation and nucleic acid testing, including 14 days of centralized quarantine and medical observation at a government facility and seven days of home quarantine. During this period, two nucleic acid tests will be performed.
Inbound people who enter Ordos via a third location and have undergone 14 days of isolation and observation and received nucleic acid testing before arriving in the city are still expected to undergo 14 days of centralized quarantine and a seven-day quarantine at home.
During the quarantine period, these individuals shall receive two rounds of nucleic acid testing.
Inbound people who cannot meet the home quarantine requirement of one person per home will be expected to undergo seven additional days of centralized quarantine.
People coming to or returning to Ordos city from domestic high-risk or medium-risk epidemic areas must undergo 14 days of centralized quarantine and two rounds of nucleic acid testing. The same applies to travelers who transited through domestic high-risk or medium-risk epidemic areas.
For people who arrive in Ordos city from domestic low-risk epidemic areas with confirmed local cases or asymptomatic infection cases, they shall submit a negative nucleic acid test certificate issued within the past three days.
People who arrive without a negative nucleic acid test certificate must stay at home and undergo nucleic acid testing.
