The fourth session of the fourth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Ordos committee commenced in Ordos city’s Kangbashi district on March 2.
The meeting, which is scheduled to run until March 5, will see political advisers discuss major political, economic and social issues in the city.
A total of 262 CPPCC members attended the meeting to debate the work of the standing committee of the CPPCC Ordos committee. They examined a report on how the committee has handled proposals put forward by members since the previous session and formulated objectives for 2021.

On the first day of the meeting, members reviewed and approved the meeting agenda.

Since the third meeting of the fourth CPPCC Ordos committee, members put forward 327 proposals focusing on the city’s primary goals and significant issues of general concern to residents.
The number of proposals in 2020 hit a new record.
A total of 242 proposals were adopted, and two proposals were withdrawn.
