The second plenary meeting of the fourth session of the fourth Ordos Municipal People's Congress was held in Ordos city's Kangbashi district on March 4.

It was attended by 264 deputies to the Ordos Municipal People's Congress.

The work report was delivered at the meeting by Ch.bishirelt, director of the standing committee of the Ordos Municipal People’s Congress.

Ch.bishirelt summarized the work of the past year from five aspects: green development and environmental priorities; promoting high-quality development following the law; better serving and protecting people's livelihoods; accelerating the implementation of the rule of law in Ordos; supporting deputies to perform duties in accordance with the law; and doing an excellent job of self-improvement.

Over the past year, the standing committee of the Ordos Municipal People's Congress formulated three local regulations and conducted investigations into the legislation of six regulations. 

It listened to and reviewed 23 work reports of the municipal government, court and procuratorate, conducted law enforcement inspections on the implementation of five laws and regulations, and conducted record reviews of 19 regulatory documents.

All 186 suggestions put forward by deputies were answered, 12 resolutions were made on significant issues, and 48 staff members of State agencies were appointed and removed.

The main tasks of the standing committee in 2021 are to promote legislation in key areas, strengthen work supervision and legal supervision, continuously improve the work of deputies, and improve the overall ability of the deputies to perform their duties.
