A project with an investment volume of 1.1 billion yuan ($165.04 million) has settled in Dalad Economic Development Zone in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The landing of this project signifies that Dalad Economic Development Zone has made major breakthroughs in engineering, mining and transportation machinery manufacturing and processing.

The project's primary business focus is circular economy surface treatment, using non-cyanide electroplating technology to form secondary products by deplating, electrolytic cleaning and polishing the repaired parts.

When the project is in full operation, it will be able to treat 1.26 million square meters of surface area every year, achieving a total output value of more than 30 billion yuan and generating tax income of 35 million yuan.

It will also provide more than 1,000 jobs for local residents.

According to preliminary market survey results, the current consumption of surface treatment services in Ordos has reached more than 3 billion yuan.

The main sales entities of surface treatment services are from Ordos, Hohhot and Baotou cities, as well as enterprises involved in coal-mining machinery, construction machinery, automobiles, and electronic and electrical equipment manufacturing in Shaanxi, Shanxi and Hebei provinces.
