Coal and energy expo to commence in Ordos

The 16th Ordos International Coal and Energy Industry Expo will be held in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 16-18.
This year's expo will include six main activities and 16 parallel forums.
Among the highlights are the opening ceremony, the Academician Forum for High-quality Development of the Energy Industry, Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Innovation Forum, New Energy Summit Forum, Ecological Environment Protection Conference of Coal Mining Areas along the Yellow River Basin and the National Coal Mine Intelligent Construction Special Report for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20).
The expo aims to help those working in the energy industry to clearly and objectively understand the current status of the coal industry, learn and share the latest industry information and grasp the future development trend.
Nearly 2,000 scholars and experts in the energy industry, as well as officials from neighboring cities' governments, energy bureaus and emergency management bureaus are invited to attend the expo.
A total of 613 enterprises will display their products and technologies over an area of 50,000 square meters at the Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Ten exhibition areas will be set up, including spaces for hydrogen energy industry technological innovation achievements, high-quality energy development achievements, intelligent mine construction, high-end intelligent manufacturing, mining area ecological protection, clean and efficient use of coal and unmanned and digital mining.
The number of visitors and attendees at the expo is estimated to exceed 30,000.
