Project agreements worth $7.53b inked at Ordos expo

The 16th Ordos International Coal and Energy Industry Expo concluded in Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 18.
During the expo, the governments of Ordos city and its banners and districts signed more than 20 project agreements with enterprises such as Chinese tech giant Huawei, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co, a pioneer in China’s equipment industry, and GD Power Development Co, a leading energy enterprise in China.
Meanwhile, enterprises within the jurisdiction of Ordos city signed more than 50 cooperation agreements with enterprises outside the city.
The total contracted amount of these projects totals 50.22 billion yuan ($7.53 billion).
The expo was attended by more than 1,200 enterprises that displayed cutting-edge scientific research achievements and products in the energy field.
It received 51,822 visits over a three-day period, and a livestream of the expo was viewed more than 430,000 times.
Since its inception in 2006, the Ordos International Coal and Energy Industry Expo has become an important platform for the national energy industry to showcase new technologies, exchange new achievements, explore new markets and create a new future.
