The Ordos High-tech Zone in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently completed the processing of the "Construction Project Planning Permit" for a new commercialization base for scientific and technological achievements.

It signifies that current procedures have been basically completed, making it possible for the base to start construction as soon as possible.

The base is located east of the standardized plant in the high-tech zone and south of the planned Beihuan Road.

It has a planned land area of 205 mu (13.67 hectares) and will consist of 23 buildings. Plants, office buildings and product display centers will be built, with a total investment of about 360 million yuan ($54.01 million).

The construction of the base will help provide a reasonable layout for production, living and office facilities for small and medium-sized enterprises in the zone, the establishment of an industrial resource sharing platform, and the accelerated development of small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurial enterprises.

The base is expected to reduce the development and operating costs of enterprises, better meet the land and production needs of enterprises in the park, and achieve intensive and economical use of land.
