Ejin Horoo Banner in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has made some significant achievements in recent years for its efforts to improve the local economy and people's livelihoods.

The comprehensive competitiveness of the banner has ranked first in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region for three consecutive years and 20th among the top 100 counties in the country.

Its per capita GDP and fiscal revenue both rank first among the 103 banners, counties, and districts of Inner Mongolia, and it was named among the "Top 10 Demonstration Counties in China for an All-around Well-off Society" in 2020.

As the country's third largest coal-producing county, an important national strategic energy base, and an important clean energy export base in Inner Mongolia, Ejin Horoo Banner has relied on its abundant coal resources for the past five years to promote a number of major coal chemical industry projects to increase efficiency.

Meanwhile, emerging industries such as new energy, energy conservation, environmental protection, and new materials continue to expand.

The contribution rate of new energy and intelligent manufacturing to the banner’s industrial economy has increased.
