Five important consensuses were reached at the Eighth Kubuqi International Desert Forum, which concluded in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sept 29.

This year's forum revolved around carbon peaking and carbon neutrality and was attended by more than 400 guests from over 20 countries and regions.

Issues of widespread concern at home and abroad were discussed at the forum, including the new energy industry and technological development, desert ecological technology innovation, and green financial innovation and development.

Attendees put forward a series of creative ideas, viewpoints, and solutions, resulting in a number of academic achievements and declaration proposals.

Adhering to the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets," Ordos has actively promoted energy conservation, carbon reduction, and environmental protection in recent years.

It has also been building a pioneering zone for high-quality and green development in recent years.

In the future, Ordos will work to develop a low-carbon economy, deepen innovation in green technology, and improve policy systems for investment, finance, taxation, and elements.
