The city of Ordos – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – will reportedly set aside around 60 positions annually, in order to help local university students with disabilities get jobs.
The initiative was announced recently by the Ordos Disabled Persons' Federation.
Meanwhile, Ordos will issue 3 million yuan $470,000) in grants and subsidies every year to encourage employers to provide more public welfare positions to place disabled university students in employment, as well as to make other government purchases of disability assistance services.
The initiative reportedly aims to further open up employment channels for disabled university students, make better use of the role of the disability security fund to support the employment of them – as well as to achieve high-quality and stable employment for disabled students with employability and a willingness to work.
